Official: Russia, US prolong uranium investigation suspension
MOSCOW, Oct 7 (PRIME) -- Russia agreed to prolong suspend an anti-dumping investigation of Russian uranium supplies for the needs of U.S. nuclear power program, a Rosatom official told PRIME late on Tuesday.
"A 1992 agreement on suspension of anti-dumping investigation of Russian uranium sets trade restrictions on the Russian uranium products. A 2020 amendment initiated by the U.S. side allows us to prolong the deal until 2040," the official said.
He also said that the deal allows Russia to meet its contract obligations fully and compete for new orders.
